RESULTS OF THE 2018 ALLTECH HARVEST ANALYSIS

The annual Alltech 37+® mycotoxin harvest analysis provides an assessment of mycotoxin contaminants in feed ingredients from the 2018 harvest and the potential risks to livestock.

The Alltech 37+ Analytical Services Laboratory provides advanced testing for 50 different mycotoxins using UPLC-MS/MS technology, and between labs located in Lexington, Kentucky, and Dunboyne, Ireland, the Alltech® Mycotoxin Management program has tested more than 26,000 samples of animal feed.

“Mycotoxins thrive in changeable conditions, with lack of rain, excessive rainfall or, sometimes, one after the other causing a perfect storm of contamination,” said Dr. Alexandra Weaver, global technical support with the Alltech® Mycotoxin Management team. “The extreme weather events that we’ve seen around the world the past few years have led to an increased occurrence of mycotoxins in many countries.”
