European Harvest Analysis Information
DENMARK:WHEAT
2019 wheat harvest samples from Denmark contained an average of 2.1 mycotoxins per sample. Notable mycotoxins include the type B trichothecenes family (DON group) and emerging mycotoxins were most common in these samples, at an 78% occurrence rate.
Deoxynivalenol (DON) was the only type B trichothecene detected in these samples, while multiple emerging mycotoxins were detected (enniatins A/A1 and B/B1, as well as alternariol).
These mycotoxins were detected at lower average levels overall.
Denmark was just outside the areas for crop stressors of excess heat and surplus rainfall. This resulted in lower levels of Fusarium mycotoxins, particularly Type B Trichothecenes.
